Jay Oublié: "Is asexuality queer?" is on my dash again.

Why such a fight over this word? “GSM” (gender & sexuality minority) is a group that fits aces perfectly, doesn’t have the additional gender connotations of queer, and isn’t a reclaimed slur. It’s not like it’s be-queer-or-be-lost.

But nope, everybody is fighting for the word “queer.” Why do aces…

Sometimes I wonder the same thing. However, I think that aces should be able to use the term “queer” to describe themselves, although it isn’t very reasonable to fight over a word.
