Help me complete this list and add descriptions!

stopbeingbored:

Because there is a high variety of genderbeings and sexes out there and I’d love to learn about them all. Also, please call me out if I get anything wrong. Feel free to send me asks, reblog and add or elsehow help me find out more.

/e1: Thanks a lot to menfenced for the hints and suggestions! I had some problems with the phrasing myself, so thanks for working it out for me. :-)

  • [Cisgender] A person whose gender identity matches the gender they were assigned at birth. The opposite of [Trangender].
  • [Transgender] A person whose sexual identity strays from the sex they were assigned with at birth, either because they identify as the opposite gender, or because they feel that no specific gender applies to them. Some [Transsexuals] may also identify as both male and female at the same time, or as Third Gender. The opposite of [Cisgender].
  • [Trans*] Umbrella term, including a lot of varieties and gender identities, e.g. transgender (but not exclusively).
  • [Genderqueer] People who identify as anything other than male or female. [Under the trans* umbrella]
  • [Intersexual] A person whose physiology, anatomy, or genes don’t match up with either expected sets of traits for males and females. [Under the trans* umbrella]
  • [Gender fluid] A person who may identify as different genders at different times. [Under the trans* umbrella]
  • People may also identify as Pangender, Bigender, Third gender, etc. [Under the trans* umbrella]
  • [Heterosexual] A person who is sexually attracted to members of the opposite sex: Males to females and females to males.
  • [Bisexual] A person who is sexually attracted to both males and females, mostly men and women.
  • [Homosexual] A person who identifies as one gender and is attracted to the opposite gender.
  • [Pansexual] also [Omnisexual] A person who feels sexually, romantically or emotionally attracted to members of all genders and sexes. Sometimes referred to as [genderblind], asserting that sex and gender are not relevant when it comes to attraction.
  • [Asexual] A person who lacks sexual interest or involvement. Involves various stages; some asexuals are fine with certain parts of romantic or sexual intercourse, e.g. kissing or cuddling; others lack interest in anything of the sort. Opposed to [Aromantics], Asexuals can still be romantically attracted to someone and identify as either hetero-, homo-, bi- or panromantic.
  • [Gray Asexual] An Asexual who may very rarely feel sexually attracted to someone.
  • [Sociosexual] A person who is happy with sexual intercourse outside of a relationship. Can also be found in [polyamorous] relationships.
  • [Demi-Sexual] People who only feel attraction towards those they have formed a strong emotional bond with.
